Answers about permissions, deleting files, Android versions and how to reach us.

Why does SuperClean ask for “All files access”?
Junk File Cleaner looks for cache, temporary, log and installer files in folders that Android only opens with All files access. Photos, videos and audio are read through media access. Without it, SuperClean still works with the media it can read, and the screen says which areas could not be scanned.
-
Why does Notification Cleaner need notification access?
Android only lets an app read and clear status-bar notifications with notification access. SuperClean keeps them only while the app is running and never writes them to disk. Messages from messaging apps and your default SMS app are kept, and so are notifications from system apps.
-
Why do App Manager and Network Traffic need usage access?
Android only reports each app’s storage use and data use to apps with usage access. Without it, App Manager shows the size of each app’s installer and labels it that way, and Network Traffic asks you to turn access on.
-
Can I get deleted files back?
It depends on the file and your Android version.
- Photos, videos and audio on Android 11 and later: moved to the Android system trash after you confirm in the Android dialog. Android keeps them there for a limited time, usually 30 days. SuperClean has no trash screen of its own, so look in your gallery or files app. Items in the trash still use storage space until Android removes them.
- Cache, temporary, log, installer and leftover files: deleted right away and cannot be recovered.
- Android 10 and earlier: photos, videos and audio are deleted right away and cannot be recovered.

Will Junk File Cleaner delete my photos?
No. It skips your DCIM and Pictures folders, except the thumbnail cache folder inside them. Photos and videos are only removed in Similar Photos and Large Files, and only when you choose them and confirm.
-
Why are items already selected?
Junk, Large Files, Audio Cleaner and Notification Cleaner open with suggested items already selected, so you can clean in one step. Uncheck anything you want to keep before you confirm. In Similar Photos, the best shot in each group stays unselected.
-
Which Android versions are supported?
Android 8.0 (API 26) and later. Moving media to the Android system trash needs Android 11 or later.

How do I turn off a permission?
Open Android Settings, then Apps, then SuperClean – Phone Storage, then Permissions. You can turn off any permission there. The features that need it stop working, and the rest of the app keeps working.
