NimbleClean — Privacy Policy
The short version
Your photos and videos are reviewed on your device and are not uploaded by NimbleClean. This version contains advertising and uses third-party services for ads, analytics, crash reporting, configuration, notifications and technical logs. These services process device identifiers, usage information and technical data as described below.
1. Who we are
NimbleClean is provided by VOLTLOK LTD. Contact us at [email protected] for questions about this policy or your data.
2. Files reviewed on your device
- Storage totals: the available and total space of your device, to show how much space is left. This needs no permission.
- Photos and videos, after you allow access: file size, date, folder location and type, and thumbnails for previews. The app uses them to list large videos older than 30 days, screenshots older than 30 days, and photos and videos that supported chat apps saved to your phone and that are older than 90 days, and to show the Large files screen. The supported chat apps are currently WhatsApp and WhatsApp Business; the app recognises their media folders by path and does not check which apps are installed.
- NimbleClean's own cache, to show its size and delete it when you choose.
All of this is processed on your device. None of it is uploaded, sold or shared, and none of it is given to the advertising or analytics services in section 4.
3. Information stored locally
The app stores your preferences, records identifying media it moved to system trash, recent storage measurements, cleanup history, prompt-frequency counters and usage logs in its local storage. It also keeps an install-source category used to configure advertising and notifications. Local usage records do not contain your file names or folder paths. Clearing the app’s storage or uninstalling it removes its local app data; this does not delete data already processed by third-party services.
4. Data processed by third-party services
- Ads and measurement: Google AdMob and the advertising component process advertising IDs, IP addresses, approximate region inferred from IP, device model, Android and app versions, language, and ad requests, impressions, clicks and other advertising events.
- Analytics: Firebase Analytics processes app and screen interactions, ad and notification events, installation and app-instance identifiers, install-source categories, and technical event measurements. Analytics collection begins from the first launch. The Google advertising consent form does not switch off Firebase Analytics collection or its granted Consent Mode settings.
- Crash reporting: Firebase Crashlytics processes crash reports, stack traces, device and app information and diagnostic identifiers. Crash reporting stays enabled before and after the advertising consent choice, including if you decline.
- Configuration and push: Firebase Remote Config delivers app configuration. Firebase Cloud Messaging processes an installation identifier and push token to deliver messages that trigger notification checks.
- Advertising and notification logs: the bundled NDSDK/MagicianReach component processes technical events and basic device and app information, using a log service hosted by Alibaba Cloud in Singapore. Technical logging is separate from the advertising consent choice and can start before that choice.
- Google Play: the Install Referrer library provides installation attribution; Google Play also provides the in-app review interface.
The app does not send your photos, videos, file names, folder paths or the text you write in the feedback screen to these advertising and analytics services. It does not request GPS location permission. NimbleClean does not require an account.
5. Permissions and optional features
Photo and video access is used to review media you allow. On Android 14 and later you may grant access to selected items only, in which case the results are limited. Older Android versions use storage permissions for the same purpose and, where required, deletion.
The advertising-supported app also uses internet access, network state and advertising identifiers for the services above. Android notification permission enables optional reminders. You can disable notifications in Android settings. The optional storage overview displays measured storage information in the notification bar and uses an Android foreground service while running; you can switch it off in app settings. A home-screen widget displays locally measured storage information and can be removed at any time. Background scheduling and startup permissions support reminders.
6. Advertising choices
Google’s User Messaging Platform presents advertising privacy choices where applicable. Use Settings › Privacy options when available to revisit those choices. The result controls advertising requests; it does not stop Firebase Analytics, Crashlytics, Remote Config, or the advertising and notification component’s technical logging. Network connections may occur before you answer the form. Do not treat declining advertising consent as switching off all data processing.
You can reset or delete your advertising ID through Android privacy or advertising settings; the exact path depends on your device. You can also revoke media access or notification permission in Android settings.
7. Deleting your files
Nothing is selected for you, and nothing is deleted until you confirm. On Android 11 and later, selected photos and videos go to the Android system trash first and can be restored until Android removes them; how long they stay is decided by Android. On Android 10 and earlier there is no system trash: confirmed items are deleted immediately and cannot be restored. Items you delete for good cannot be recovered by us, because we never have a copy.
8. Service providers and international processing
We use these services to provide advertising, measure usage and reliability, deliver configuration and notifications, and diagnose technical problems. Their data practices are described in their policies:
- Google Privacy Policy — Google AdMob, User Messaging Platform and Google Play.
- How Google uses information from apps using its services.
- Firebase Privacy and Security — Analytics, Crashlytics, Remote Config and Cloud Messaging.
- Alibaba Cloud Privacy Policy — hosting of technical logs.
These services may process data outside your country. Google operates globally and the technical log service uses servers in Singapore. Retention depends on the data, the service and applicable service settings. Contact us for information about the records relevant to your request.
9. Your requests and choices
Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete or receive your data, object to processing, or withdraw consent where applicable. Email [email protected] with the subject “Privacy request” or “Data deletion request”. Because the app has no accounts, we may need information to identify the relevant records before referring a request to a service provider. We aim to respond within 30 days. Please do not send personal media files with your request.
Uninstalling or clearing app storage removes local app records. It does not automatically remove records held by third-party providers. Resetting an advertising ID affects that identifier; it does not itself delete all provider records.
10. Children
NimbleClean’s advertising-supported version is intended for adults aged 18 and over and is not directed to children. If you believe a child has provided personal information through the app, please contact us so we can help address it.
11. This website and support email
This website does not include advertising scripts, analytics scripts, tracking cookies or a contact form. Your browser sends technical request information, such as your IP address, to the hosting service when loading pages. Email links open your own email app; information you choose to send is used to respond to your enquiry. External sites and your email provider apply their own policies.
12. Policy changes
We will update this page and its effective date when our data practices change. Material changes will be communicated where appropriate. Contact VOLTLOK LTD at [email protected] with any questions.
